    Training Directorate

    Providing state-of-the-art Religious Support training to endorsed religious representative officers (Chaplains) and their Enlisted or Noncommissioned Officer team mates (Chaplain Assistants). With this training, the Unit Ministry Team (at least one Chaplain and one Chaplain Assistant) provides or performs religous services and counseling and ensures the free exercise of religion for every United States Army Soldier and his or her family members wherever those Soldiers or family members may be.

    Distance Learning Chaplain School Distance Learning Programs

    Chaplain Assistant Reserve Component Reclassification Course, Phase 1, ATRRS Course #805D-56M10 (R) (DL) PH 1. Unit enrollment in next available class in ATRRS. USACHCS will send a welcome e-mail directly to the soldier. E-mail will provide web address and password for on-line training. Reserve Component Chaplain Captain Career Course Phase 1. ATRRS Course 5-16-C23 (DL) PH1 Unit enrollment in next available class in ATRRS. USACHCS will send a welcome e-mail directly to the Chaplain. Until October 2006 USACHCS will send a CD-ROM . After October 2006 E-mail will provide web address and password for on-line training.

    Self-Improvement Reading (SIR) Program for IRR and IMA Chaplains and Chaplain Candidates. Provides self-directed Chaplain professional development reading program. Students may earn IDT Retirement Points by reading from a school reading list. Student enrollment by e-mail to usachcs.registrar@us.army.mil USACHCS will send a welcome email with a reading list Chaplain Asst Initial Sustainment Training Course (MOS 56M). DL Catalog # 805DM31 Provides sustainment and upgrade training for graduates of Chaplain Assistant Advanced Individual Training and Reclassification Courses. Provides sustainment and upgrade training for graduates of Chaplain Assistant BNCOC.     Resource Managers Course

    The Chaplaincy Resources Management (CRM) Course trains selected Chaplains in the skills and knowledge necessary to function as NonAppropriated Chaplains' Fund Managers and Chaplaincy Resources Managers.

    Selected Chaplain Assistants (MOS 56M, Staff Sergeant or Sergeant First Class) are simultaneously trained in the skills and knowledge necessary to function as NonAppropriated Chaplains' Fund Managers.

    Students are trained not simply to operate the latest softwere, but to handle purchases and the use of equipment, finances and facilities ethically and responsibly in order to provide the best possible Religious Support for Soldiers and their family members.
