The Chaplain Captain Career Course (C4)
Training Directorate
Providing state-of-the-art Religious
Support training to endorsed religious
representative officers (Chaplains) and
their Enlisted or Noncommissioned
Officer team mates (Chaplain
Assistants). With this training, the
Unit Ministry Team (at least one
Chaplain and one Chaplain Assistant)
provides or performs religous services
and counseling and ensures the free
exercise of religion for every United
States Army Soldier and his or her
family members wherever those Soldiers
or family members may be.

Self-Improvement Reading (SIR) Program
for IRR and IMA Chaplains and Chaplain
Candidates. Provides self-directed
Chaplain professional development
reading program. Students may earn IDT
Retirement Points by reading from a
school reading list. Student enrollment

computer-intensive experience where
Active Army or Reserve Component
Chaplain Assistants in the grades of
Private through Sergeant selected for
Fund Clerk responsibilities learn their
craft.
Students are trained in state-of-the-art

possible Religious Support for Soldiers
and their family members

Resource Managers Course
The Chaplaincy Resources Management
(CRM) Course trains selected Chaplains
in the skills and knowledge necessary to
function as NonAppropriated Chaplains'
Fund Managers and Chaplaincy Resources
Managers.
Selected Chaplain Assistants (MOS 56M,
Staff Sergeant or Sergeant First Class)
are simultaneously trained in the skills
and knowledge necessary to function as
NonAppropriated Chaplains' Fund
Managers.
Students are trained not simply to
operate the latest softwere, but to
handle purchases and the use of
equipment, finances and facilities
ethically and responsibly in order to
provide the best possible Religious
Support for Soldiers and their family
members.
